Some Particularities of the Use of Definite Articles in Proper Nouns (Antroponyms and Toponyms): A Semantic Approach in a Comparative Perspective Between Mozambican Portuguese and European Portuguese

The present work, entitled Some peculiarities of the use definite articles in proper nouns (anthroponyms and toponyms): a semantic approach comparative perspective between Mozambican Portuguese European Portuguese, has as main objective to analyze ( anthroponyms toponyms) Portuguese. In this sense, we try describe different contexts which presence/absence names occurs (EP), also compare (PM) with (PE). study is descriptive nature carry out data analysis, written corpus was built that resulted from application two linguistic tests, namely provoked production test (filling empty spaces sentences), composed thirteen 13) sentences grammaticality and/or acceptability judgments, consisting twenty-six (26) sentences. inquiry directed eighty (80) students 10th Grade Secondary School Tete. analyzed allowed us verify variety speakers constantly omit simple positions contexts, thus creating difference Portuguese; they where toponyms occur (referring place designate landforms), predicative syntactic position subject; short, several differences varieties regard omission contexts.
